We spent a week in Maine with my mom's side of the family. Words cannot even describe what this vacation meant to me. Mom said it was like I was on drugs... I was so happy!!! It was like therapy.
To be in this beautiful place with family that I don't see very often, after so many years away, and be making memories with my kids that I have as a child... I almost cry when I hink about it. I worry that no other vacation will ever measure up.
We spent time at some of my favorite places on the planet, and everywhere we went was just as I remember... even down to the smells.
To mom, Kimmy and Ken, Kerry and Ricky, and Barn and Marma... thank you, thank you, thank you for making this week possible. I am so grateful, and I love you! To Shannon, Caitlin and Nikole... I love you and am so grateful for our childhood memories and that we were able to relive some of them together!
