Amy's Birthday Cake
Jackson LOVES Amy! The other day he told me in was in the kitchen making Amy a birthday cake. When he was done he came and got me so we could sing "Happy Birthday" to Amy.
This was his cake...
It's Christmastime!!!
I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!
Everything about it... the lights, the smells, the food, family, friends, everything!!!
But my favorite part is going and picking out a Christmas tree, a real, live, Christmas tree.
Unfortunately, this year I have a naughty girl and I wasn't going to get a traa at all, but I gave in. And, sadly for me I bought a cheap, fake tree that my naughty woos couldn't ruin. Despite the fact that it's f-a-k-e (which is usually a four-letter word around my house) it turned out very pretty and fills our living room with Christmas light.
Good Friends
My friend, Kasey, who lives in South Carolina was up over the Thanksgiving holiday, and we used it as a great excuse to get together a couple times.
On Friday. Amy, Kasey and I met at Olive Garden dinner. It is our "go-to" spot. I was explaing to someone recently that is is my favorite restaurant, but it's not even abou the food. It is about the time I have spent there and the memories that have been made. It's the place we've always gone, and I'm sure it will be the place we always go!
Kasey's kids and my kids are really close in age, but she has a brand new baby, unlike me. Her son, Jake, and Jackson are about three weeks apart in age, and her son, Nick, and Caroline are about 6 weeks different. Her new little boy, Ty, is 2 months old. We decided to meet at Chick-fil-a on Saturday so the kids could play, and Jackson has been talking no-stop about his new friend, Jake ever since. It was great fun! I went to high school with Kasey's husband, Daniel, so it was great to see him as well!

Happy Thanksgiving!
How grateful I am on this day for all my many blessings... both big and small!
Then we made our way to David and Leda's new home where we had dinner with them, mom, and Leda's sister , Jenna and her family. And of course we had to take some family pictures...
